We are Re-Accredited

Dear Ahliah Community,

It is my utmost pleasure to announce that, on February 27, 2023, Ahliah was granted the International Re-Accreditation, jointly from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC). As stated by CIS and NEASC, this award of re-accreditation is a well-deserved recognition in which “the strengths of the school far outweigh the areas for development.” Both CIS and NEASC commended Ahliah’s commitment to students’ well-being, high-quality learning, and teaching, as well as to global citizenship and intercultural learning. The re-accreditation award acknowledges that Ahliah meets rigorous criteria and standards in all areas of governance, guiding statements, curriculum, learning, and assessment of learning, faculty and staff, access to teaching and learning, operational systems and school facilities, and the school’s culture.

Both CIS and NEASC congratulate the school for establishing a clear sense of trust and well-being in both faculty and students, which has led to early intervention and essential support provision, and a trusting, open learning environment for all. Also, they commend Ahliah for fostering a clear vision of high-quality education in curriculum planning and promoting innovation and creativity in lesson planning to maximize learning opportunities and support students in accessing the curriculum. Furthermore, the CIS/NEASC team highlighted, in their report, the innovative lessons and teaching strategies. As well as that, they emphasized the importance of the safety provided to our students in terms of offering feedback on teaching strategies and assessment practices.

The CIS/NEASC team recognizes that Ahliah exceeds expectations in the management of school operations during the COVID-19 onsite school closure period in which Ahliah learners continued to benefit from access to education. Ahliah was also recognized for creating financial plans that promote teachers’ economic well-being and offer financial aid to struggling families so that teachers and students are retained as much as possible during very difficult times.

Having received the award of CIS and NEASC International Re-accreditation, Ahliah students graduate with a diploma from a school that is part of a worldwide community of schools. In addition, it is known to provide high-quality education and infuse international and intercultural perspectives within the curriculum.  This enables students to move forward with the attitudes and understanding that will provide them with a solid base wherever their studies or work may take them. Ahliah is acknowledged for using the guiding statements as active reference points in decision-making and strategic planning to ensure a clear purpose and direction for the school.

Such recognition is known to all institutions, both in higher learning and in the workplace, and hence opens doors and improves opportunities for our students. Both CIS and NEASC have programs to help your children connect with the best universities.

I would like to thank each member of the Ahliah community for their dedication, collaboration, and hard work, which is helping the school achieve its goals for improvement and development.

Congratulations to the entire Ahliah community on this achievement, which is certainly the result of significant effort by all the school stakeholders amid extremely challenging circumstances.

Sincerely,

Rida Ayache

Principal
