Profile

The pre-school student body consists of students between the ages of 3 and 5 coming from different cultural backgrounds. Under the decree issued by the Ministry of Education, children need to complete 3 years of age by January 31st to be able to enroll in KG1. The preschool consists of three grade levels, KG1, KG2, and KG3, with an average number of the 22 students per class.  

All pre-school teachers have the appropriate qualifications and expertise and are constantly engaged in professional development. There are 10 full time teachers and 3 assistants for 100 students with a student-faculty ratio of seven. The pre-school staff also includes a counselor, and a librarian.

Curriculum

The pre-school curriculum is aligned with the Lebanese national educational standards, international standards, and Ahliah School’s guiding statements and articulation of quality education. The curriculum and programs address the whole-Child through an interdisciplinary thematic approach where children are encouraged to learn in a joyful and mindful environment that promotes their sense of inquiry and curiosity about the world. The curriculum includes English, Arabic, French, Math, Science, Social studies, Art, Music, Drama, and Physical Education. Character Education is integrated in the pre-school curriculum under the “Protect Ed” program.
