Ahliah’s third graders created their own unique polygon creature during their Geometry lesson: Polygons.
Learning polygons teaches students how to make patterns, arrangements, about symmetry, and how to use polygons to make other shapes.
The objective of the project was to create their own unique human or animal creature using polygons. This interactive activity provides many opportunities for discussion, attainment of knowledge, and review of different kinds of polygons in the classroom.
Students enjoyed working on this project by identifying and listing the name and the characteristics of each polygon used to design the creature.
