Ahliah School teamed up with AMEL Association in a partnership aimed at empowering students to take active roles in building safer communities.
Through a workshop on comic book writing presented by a French writer, students and community members came together to write and illustrate a story targeted at anti-bullying awareness. They were able to reflect on their own experiences, and brainstorm ways to combat aggressive behavior.
Coming from diverse backgrounds, each member was able to contribute to the group’s story in a unique way. Students and members were then able to translate their ideas into a comic book draft, which will later be finalized, published, and distributed within the Ahliah and Amel community.
