In preparation for their Social Studies research project on the Arab/Israeli Conflict, Grade 11 students visited the Center for Palestinian Studies.
Through a historical overview of the Arab-Israeli conflict, students gained better insight into the struggles of the dispossessed due to the occupation of the Palestinian territories.
They visited the “Salute to the Prisoners Art Exhibition” where they saw works of art that told the story of persecution and sacrifice.
Students were also introduced to the library of the institute where they were given access to specialized information resources through the institute’s e-catalog.
Ahliah Students concluded their trip by paying tribute to the soul of Journalist Shireen Abou Akleh who inspired everyone with her courage, determination, and heroism.
