Our preschool teachers completed an enriching training session led by Mrs. Rola Safar, focusing on the dynamic and innovative Jolly Phonics approach.
This highly effective, multi-sensory method transforms the way young children learn phonics, ensuring that literacy education is not only informative but also fun and engaging.
Jolly Phonics introduces a synthetic phonics approach, which teaches children the five key skills for reading and writing. These skills include learning letter sounds, letter formation, blending sounds to form words, identifying sounds in words, and learning tricky words. What makes this method particularly special is its ability to engage all the senses, as children are encouraged to see, hear, and physically interact with letters and sounds.
The training session with Mrs. Safar was not just theoretical; our teachers were hands-on throughout, exploring how to incorporate the Jolly Phonics techniques into their classrooms. They learned how to create fun, interactive lessons that captivate young learners’ attention through songs, stories, actions, and games.
