Biography

Trustee Hanan Haddad is an Ahliah School alumna, who pursued her BA in Sociology in the American University of Beirut (AUB) and graduated in 1973.

Ms. Haddad began her career in 1969 as a reporter on student affairs for the Lebanon Daily An Nahar. She worked as a research assistant at UNICEF, Beirut in 1973, and as a project coordinator in different NGOs such as Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), and workshops from 1985 – 1990, where she addressed managers in the Third World working in field planning and conducted an Arabic Workshop “Women in Development”. Ms. Haddad also worked with USAID as a population program assistant. She later became a Nursery class teacher in the French Immersion Program of the Washington International School (WIS) in Washington, D.C., USA.
