Biography

Abdo Sabban founded AGS Realty, a real estate management, brokerage and investment company in Washington DC, in 1987, and is currently its President. He sold a part of the company in 2004 to Long & Foster Co., one of the largest real estate companies in the US.

 He served as the Chairman of the Rene Moawad Foundation-USA, for 11 years (2004-2015) and as a board member since inception in 1993.

He currently is a member of the Boards of Trustees of the El-Hibri Foundation, the Al-Ahliah School in Beirut, Lebanon, and the American Lebanese Foundation, a US based think tank that focuses on issues that concern the American Lebanese community. 

 He was the President of the American University of Beirut Alumni Association – Washington chapter (1999-2004), and a member of the board of the North American Alumni Association of the American University of Beirut (AANA) (2002-2004).

 He also served as the co-chair of the endowment committee of the center for Global Peace at the American University in Washington DC (AU), and as a member of the Board of the Karamah Foundation, a non-profit US foundation, and the “Min Ajl Lubnan” committee in Washington DC.

 Mr. Sabban was chosen as one of the top three American immigrant business entrepreneurs by the US magazine “BusinessWeek” in 2002.
