Human Rights Day

Ahliah’s celebration of Human Rights Day this year was a reminder that the bond we share as humans transcends any border, nationality, religion, or gender.

To commemorate this day, students explored the rights set forth in the UN Declaration of Human Rights while shedding light on violations of fundamental rights around the world. They shared stories and testimonies from people who were denied their basic rights, while highlighting the importance of preserving the physical, cultural, and social rights of humans around the world.

Students showcased their understanding and interpretation through artwork and collages which depict and advocate for the basic human rights. Their artwork sends a message of global solidarity and re-affirms the belief that “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”
