Throughout the past week, awareness sessions were conducted with Grade 2B and Grade 3A on the topic of bullying. The objective was to teach students to differentiate between teasing, meaningful moments, and conflicts, as well as to learn about the actions and behaviors that are classified as bullying.
Students were able to act out different scenarios for each, and then discuss what they were seeing. After the activities, students were asked what they would do if they encountered such scenarios. Responses varied from “making sure our classmates feel safe” to “telling a teacher we trust about what we saw”.
More tips were shared with students, including working together as a class to ensure that everyone feels protected and being confident enough to face any challenging situation.
